Who Is God?

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Since beginning this journey—sharing my dreams, journaling my downloads, and talking openlyabout my conversations with God—I’ve had more than a few people reach out.
Some call.
Some email.
And almost all of them want to know one thing:
Who exactly are you praying to?

Fair question. And I always answer it with love:
God is of your understanding.

I was raised Christian. I was taught that the Word was life, that salvation came through Jesus
Christ, and that the Bible held the blueprint. And I honor that part of my story. But as I got older,
I started asking more questions. Deep questions. And like any true seeker, I went on a spiritual
pilgrimage of my own.

I read the Bible cover to cover.
I studied with Muslims, Jews, Jehovah’s Witnesses.
I sat with Hindus, Buddhists, free spirits, preachers, healers—people from every walk of life.
And do you know what I found?
God shows up in many languages. Many names. Many paths.
So many of us believe the same things… we just carry them in different containers.

To me, God is too big, too infinite, too layered to be confined to one place, one name, or one people.
I don’t worship a random spirit.
I pray to the Most High. The Most Merciful. The Creator of all things—including this thought
I’m sharing with you right now.

In the mornings when I walk, I often whisper the names of God like a chant, a love letter, a
praise song rising from my breath.
Here are just a few:

1. Yahweh – I Am Who I Am
2. Jehovah Jireh – The Lord Will Provide
3. Abba – Father
4. El Shaddai – God Almighty
5. El Roi – The God Who Sees Me
6. Adonai – My Lord
7. Jehovah Rapha – The Lord Who Heals
8. Jehovah Nissi – The Lord Is My Banner
9. Elohim – Creator God
10. Ruach – Spirit, Breath, Wind of God

Each name carries a part of who God is to me.
Lover of my soul.
Breath in my body.
Corrector. Comforter. Companion.

I’m not here to teach you theology—I’ve never been to seminary.
I didn’t get some download that appointed me to lead a congregation.
I’m just a girl from Brooklyn who trusts God with her whole life—and follows the guidance I’m
given. That trust has led me through loss, heartbreak, single motherhood, sickness, rebirth,
business, beauty, and healing.

And yes, I’ve been through a lot.But hear me clearly:
I was meant to.
The hard things? They drove me to God.
Not religion.
Relationship.

I love God more than anything. And I don’t need to prove that to anyone.
But if you’re wondering who I’m talking to when I say “God said” or “Spirit whispered”—now
you know. It’s the Most High. The One who holds my life in their hands with love and power.

And if you’ve been searching, questioning, or wondering who God is to you—just know this:
God is real.
God is not still.
God is not sleeping.
And God is always available.

All you have to do is open your heart and tap in.

With grace, gratitude, and growing faith,
Kimmie G.
